This year’s batch of seeds was collected and processed in February 2026. These seeds have been hot water treated, dipped in fungicide, dried, and refrigerated for long term storage.
Yuzu: Yuzu is a likely hybrid between a mandarin and Ichang papeda. The fragrance is pleasantly floral and the taste is similar to a cross between a lemon and lime.
Taiwanica Lemon: The Taiwanica Lemon is a sour orange with pummelo qualities. The taste is similar to a lemon but more complex.
C-57 Citrandarin: The C-57 citrandarin is a hybrid between the Sunki mandarin and trifoliate orange. The fruit are good quality and peelable, with a unique tropical taste and high Brix.
Benton is a hybrid between an unknown orange and trifoliate orange. The fruit are surprisingly edible and nearly seedless, making them not only our favorite citrange, but one of our favorite hardy citrus.
Poncirus Plus is a European strain that lacks the bitter resin normally found in trifoliate orange fruit.
Conestoga 010 and 026 Citrange are F2 hybrids between the Ruby blood orange and trifoliate orange selected by citrus breeder Mel Martin. Both fruit strongly resemble the trifoliate orange; 010 has less resin and 026 has more orange flavor.
Poncirus Plus and Conestoga Citrange seeds will be overpacked since they were collected and processed in late November 2025.
Seeds should be kept cool and moist until they are sown. Allow at least 2-3 weeks for germination.
These plants are recommended for growing outdoors in plant hardiness zones 7-10 or 6-9. To find out your plant hardiness zone, use this link: https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/
